Technical Assistance Support
Alex Berg-Jacobson serves as co-lead for the Talent for Turnaround Leadership Academy Mentoring and Induction Network, a collaboration between the Mid-Atlantic Comprehensive Center, the Center on School Turnaround, the Center on Great Teachers and Leaders, the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), and three DC charter districts. In this role, he supports the collaborative development of Network meeting materials and supplemental resources to build the capacity of OSSE and participating districts to apply researched best practices in mentoring and induction.
Berg-Jacobson is also a School Performance and System Transformation Specialist for the Comprehensive School Assistance Program at WestEd. Through his diverse professional experience, Berg-Jacobson has developed a broad skill set and demonstrated the ability to create and facilitate the use of resources to provide collaborative research-based capacity building to education practitioners. This includes providing direct organizational improvement assistance to education stakeholders and facilitating conversations among stakeholders.
Berg-Jacobson has served on multiple research projects related to education-system improvement, including two educator supply and demand studies and a cost-study evaluation. His work on these projects demonstrates his technical abilities, including the collection, preparation, analysis, and reporting of raw data to address specified research questions.
