Co-Director and Educator Quality Lead
Minnici directs the Mid-Atlantic Comprehensive Center. She is also the Senior Director of State Strategy, Technical Assistance, and Policy at WestEd. Minnici provides strategic leadership for WestEd’s technical assistance and policy work with state education agencies and other education organizations, with the aim of developing and implementing education policy and practices to support equitable and positive outcomes for all learners. She is a national expert in educator quality.
Before joining WestEd, Minnici was Vice President of Policy, Practice, and Systems Change at American Institutes for Research (AIR). In that position, she oversaw AIR’s federally funded comprehensive centers. Minnici directed the Center on Great Teachers and Leaders, a national content center dedicated to supporting all states in their efforts to grow, respect, and retain great teachers and leaders. She began her career as a public school teacher and has held various positions in education and research, working with diverse education stakeholders such as federal and state policymakers, teachers, administrators, parents, and other education organizations. Minnici was associate director of educational issues at the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) where she supported national policy and practice on educator quality.
She earned her doctorate in administrative and policy studies from the University of Pittsburgh.
