Early Learning and Trauma-Informed Care Lead
Sarah Nadiv oversees early learning and trauma-informed practice for the Mid-Atlantic Comprehensive Center and works across WestEd’s programs to help build work in trauma-informed practice with states, districts and schools.
Nadiv’s experience providing clinical services to young children and families in outpatient and school-based settings has galvanized her to ensure that research drives policy and practice. Accordingly, she has extensive experience with community-based participatory research and utilization-focused evaluation. She uses qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches.
Nadiv has created a number of data-sharing systems which track individual child data for longitudinal research purposes. She has also developed both in-person and online professional development modules for practitioners, policymakers, and families. Nadiv has also provided technical assistance to a number of states around topics related to infant and early childhood development and mental health.
